By increasing the operational and research capacity of healthcare systems, we help make high-quality healthcare more accessible to everyone. Our products are being used by leading healthcare providers across the US and India. 

About the Role

You will be responsible for identifying clinical research partners and research opportunities that can lead to new use cases, advance product capabilities, and generate evidence on the reliability, implementation, and impact of Foster's products. You will work closely with researchers, clinicians, academic institutions, hospitals, and grant program managers to develop collaborative research proposals and submit competitive grant applications.

This role sits at the intersection of healthcare delivery, clinical research, AI, and strategy. You will work directly with the founders to build a network of research collaborators. The partnerships and research programs you develop will generate real-world evidence on the reliability, implementation, and impact of our products while creating opportunities for new product development and commercialization.

What You'll Do

Research Partnerships Development

• Identify and engage researchers, clinicians, and academic collaborators whose interests align with Foster’s technology roadmap and research priorities

• Build long-term relationships with universities, research institutions, hospitals, and healthcare organizations to enable research collaborations.

Grant Identification & Strategy

• Identify research grant  opportunities from government agencies, foundations, healthcare organizations, and research programs.

• Evaluate grant opportunities and prioritize those aligned with company objectives.

• Maintain a calendar and tracking system for upcoming research grant opportunities. 

Grant Writing & Submission

• Collaborate with research partners to develop grant applications, including project timelines, budgets and supporting documents.

• Coordinate with all contributors and ensure timely submission of grant applications .

Research Program Management

• Facilitate activation of funded programs, including stakeholder coordination and regulatory or ethics approval processes where required. 

• Identify opportunities for publications, conference abstracts, presentations, and other research outputs arising from projects.

Success Metrics

Your success will be measured through:

• New research partnerships established

• Grant submissions completed

• Total grant funding secured

• Publications or abstracts facilitated 

What We're Looking For

Required

• 1-3 years of experience in building research partnerships, grant proposal development, academic administration, healthcare innovation, research program management , or related fields.

• Experience writing, coordinating, or contributing to successful scientific grant applications.

• Strong scientific and technical writing skills.

• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder alignment abilities.

• Ability to execute and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred

• Experience in healthcare, clinical research, life sciences, digital health, or AI.

• Familiarity with academic research environments and research grant  ecosystems.

• Experience with government, foundation, or institutional research grant programs.

• An advanced degree (Master's, PhD, MPH, MD, or equivalent) is a plus.

• Existing network within healthcare research, or AI research communities.
